About
Who writes FossilCoder, and what the notes are for.
I’m Kolja Wawrowsky. I spent six years building confocal-microscopy software at Leica, then eighteen years directing the Light Microscopy Core at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. These days I build Apple-platform software and local-first AI systems: Swift, Metal, visionOS, and on-device inference on Apple silicon.
FossilCoder is my name on Apple’s developer forums, and this is where the programming notes go. Each one is something I ran into while building: the problem, what didn’t work, and the fix, with the code. They’re written for the next person who searches for the same error message.
The longer essays on AI, memory, and imaging live at kolja.wawrowsky.com. My code is on GitHub.
